	--	A devastating earthquake hits Haiti in January, 2010. We provide emergency response following the devastation to poor areas. Our teams are assisting in delivering emergency services in nutrition, sanitation and hygiene for survivors in Port-au-Prince and surrounding areas. We also offer support to poor areas in the United States and abroad.

ABOUT THE ORGANIZATION Our vision is to reach those in great need around the globe; to help men, women, and children to discover their own vision, skills, and resources. We partner with local and international churches, local and international agencies to enable efficient distribution of materials and services. Our goal is to: • help people in need move from abject poverty to abundant living • help families get access to clean water • provide reliable food supplies • offer access to basic health care, clothing and food • help men, women, and children to discover their own vision & skills

Haiti has long been considered the poorest country in the Western Hemisphere.

Today the vast majority of Haitians still live at the lowest economic level, and many suffer from a lack of food and medical care.

An estimated 80% live in abject poverty, searching for scraps of food to survive or scrap materials to build a lean-to.
More than half of the population, including two-thirds of the children, suffers from malnutrition. A
bout 76 of every 1,000 children die before reaching their fifth birthday.
